Jamal Garrett Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash on Chestnut Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (August 11, 2022) – On Thursday, 39-year-old Jamal Garrett sustained fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Chestnut Avenue.

It was about 9:10 a.m. when the fatal collision took place at the intersection with Lane Avenue.

Offices say the westbound sedan driven by Garrett was traveling at high-speed. It collided with a garbage truck and spun before it ended up on the front lawn of a home.

Responding officers declared Jamal Garrett dead at the crash scene. The truck driver, on the other hand, sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.

Luckily, the residents inside the home did not sustain injuries.
