Jaime Solis Killed in Two-Car Crash on West Floral Drive [MONTEREY PARK, CA]

Afternoon 2-Car Crash in Monterey Park Kills 1 and Injures Another

 
MONTEREY PARK, CA (February 9, 2020) – A man was killed following a two-car crash Sunday afternoon in Monterey Park.
 
The crash happened around 4:00 p.m. on West Floral Drive near Valley Vista Drive.
 
CHP officials did not describe the vehicles involved but both were heavily damaged from the impact. A male occupant in one of the vehicles died at the scene.
 
Authorities identified the victim as Jaime Tellez Solis, 35, of Monterey Park.
 
Meanwhile, a woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
It was unclear what led up to the crash, but neighbors on the street said drivers commonly speed down the road despite its blind curves.
 
Police closed the street for a few hours as they conducted their investigation. They asked witnesses to contact the Monterey Park Police Department at 626-573-1311.
