Jaime Munguia Killed in Devastating Pedestrian Crash on Main Street [Hesperia, CA]

1 Dead in Hesperia Pedestrian Accident on Main Street near Escondido Avenue

HESPERIA, CA (February 25, 2024) – Saturday morning, Jaime Munguia died in a devastating pedestrian crash on Main Street.

The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. when multiple vehicles struck the 34-year-old Palm Springs resident on Main Street, between Escondido Avenue and Pyrite Avenue.

Firefighters with the San Bernardino County Fire Department came to the scene and found Munguia’s body in the eastbound lanes of Main Street.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez added that at least one of the drivers involved stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with authorities.

Also, the crash shut down Main Street for several hours as deputies with the Hesperia Police Department investigated.

Furthermore, the Hesperia Police Department encouraged anyone with information to come forward.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
