Ford Driver Seriously Injured in Crash on Peone Road
Spokane County, WA (August 12, 2022) – On Thursday, the authorities arrested Jacqueline Gregory, 60, in a suspected DUI crash on Bruce Road.
Investigating officers say Gregory was driving a northbound Dodge Ram on Bruce Road. At the same time, a man was driving an eastbound Ford Fiesta on Peone Road.
Apparently, the Dodge failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with the Ford. A witness said the Dodge was traveling at about 45 mph.
Right away, the rescuers took the Ford driver to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Moreover, officers booked Gregory into the Spokane County Jail after she was medically cleared at the hospital. They arrested her on suspicion of DUI. However, the charge was later amended to vehicular assault because the other driver sustained serious injuries.
Gregory told the officers that she was northbound on Bruce Road and stopped at the intersection before she continued driving. She added that the Ford came out of nowhere and she struck it. Similarly, Gregory says that the other driver was driving fast while westbound on Peone Road.
Furthermore, an officer noted that the extensive damage on the Ford’s passenger side was consistent with a higher speed impact compared to what would have been if Gregory had stopped before the collision.
Meanwhile, the Spokane County Jail record indicates that Jacqueline Gregory remained booked on Thursday afternoon with bond set at $5,000. She made her first court appearance Thursday in Spokane County Superior Court with arraignment scheduled on August 23.
When behind the wheel of a vehicle, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of yourself and others around you. Furthermore, it is important to always drive within the posted speed limit.
Most importantly, we should never forget that we should not drink and drive.
