Jacobo Talavera, Hector Orozco, and Alfredo Sanchez Killed in Tragic Crash on Avenue 7 [Madera, CA]

Madera, CA (February 24, 2024) Early Friday morning, 24-year-old Juvenal Jacobo Talavera, 34-year-old Hector Orozco, and Alfredo Sanchez were among the 8 people who died in a head-on collision on Avenue 7.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the deadly crash happened around 6 a.m. on Avenue 7, west of Road 22.

Reports say that a van with 7 occupants collided with a truck with a lone occupant. Officials say that all the van’s occupants were Kerman residents and farmworkers headed to Lion Farms to work.

Authorities say that 6 occupants of the van and the truck driver died due to the crash, a lone survivor is in the hospital with major injuries but is expected to recover.
