Officers Arrest Daniel Rivera in Greenhouse Rd Fatal Crash
Cypress, TX (Aug. 7, 2023) – On Sunday, Jacob Wnuk, Christopher Scandridge, and Fraser Anderson were killed in a Greenhouse Road DUI collision.
The fatal collision took place at about 2:46 a.m. in the 11100 block of Greenhouse and Towne Lake Parkway.
According to the authorities, Daniel Rivera, 21, was driving a southbound 2021 Cadillac Escalade on Greenhouse Road approaching the intersection of Towne Lake Parkway.
At the same time, Jacob Wnuk, Christopher Scandridge, and Fraser Anderson were riding a northbound battery-powered golf cart on Greenhouse Road approaching the same intersection.
The golf cart made turned left to travel west on Towne Lake Parkway while the Escalade ran a stop sign and struck the golf cart.
Unfortunately, two of the three people in the golf cart died at the scene and the third person was transported to hospital in critical condition but died at 2:39 p.m.
Investigating officers said two of the victims were 37-year-old while the third was 41-year-old.
The accident report revealed that Rivera had an 8-year-old child inside his vehicle at the time of the accident. There is no update if the child was hurt.
Moreover, the sheriff’s office stated that Rivera was intoxicated from alcoholic beverages at the time of the accident. According to them, his blood alcohol level was higher than the legal limit.
The authorities arrested him with charges on three counts of murder.
Rivera faced a judge early Monday. The judge handed Rivera a $200,000 bond for each murder count which totalled to $600,000. His bond conditions include having an electronic monitoring device, complying with a curfew, and not having any drugs or alcohol.
Officers are still investigating this fatal accident.
