Injuries Reported in Sonora Multi-Vehicle Accident on West Stockton Street and Highway 40
SONORA, CA (July 20, 2023) – Wednesday morning, Jacob Hackelton was injured in a crash on West Stockton Street and Highway 49.
The incident occurred just after 11:00 a.m. on West Stockton Street and Highway 49.
According to reports, the crash involving multiple vehicles sent two people, including 31-year-old Hackleton of Copperopolis, to Adventist Health Sonora for treatment of injuries.
Also, the crash blocked the eastbound lane for over an hour as officers diverted traffic onto West Stockton Street/Highway 49.
Tow trucks also came to the scene to remove the wreckage, allowing the highway to reopen around 12:30 p.m.
Apparently, a 2006 Chrysler Sebring driving into oncoming traffic is what caused the accident.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the Sonora crash.
What’s Next after Crippling Multi-Vehicle Crash on West Stockton Street and Highway 49
Gas costs have yet to descend, and even so, traffic on California highways has carried on as busy and as dangerous as ever.
Hence, it is important to drive defensively/abide by all driving laws. Moreover, this will ensure your safety and the safety of surrounding vehicles, motorists, and pedestrians.
The aftershock of an accident such as the one involving Jacob Hackelton is not something to be dealt with alone. The burden is meant to be shared; preferably, with a community that knows how to handle the effects
