24-Year-Old La Habra Man Fatally Injured in Crash near South Harbor Boulevard, Scott Hisaka Arrested
LA HABRA, CA (September 20, 2018) – A man was killed early Thursday morning following a DUI collision near South Harbor Boulevard. The deceased victim was later identified as 24-year-old Jacob Farrand, a resident of La Habra.
According to the La Habra Police Department, the incident took place at about 2:30 AM. A car was heading east on La Habra Boulevard when it collided with a northbound vehicle.
The impact fatally injured Farrand, who was the sole occupant of his vehicle. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. Meanwhile, the driver of the second vehicle, identified as 28-year-old Scott Hisaka, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Hisaka was later released into police custody and will be booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of murder and felony DUI. An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to call (562) 383-4300. No other information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
