Jade Bowdoin Arrested on Suspicion of DUI after Fatal Accident near Putah Creek Road
SOLANO COUNTY, CA (June 18, 2018) – One man was killed and another arrested, after a DUI collision on Interstate 505, late Monday night. The deceased victim was later identified by the Solano County Coroner’s Office as 24-year-old Jackson Laudenback of Santa Cruz.
The fatal accident took place around 10:50 PM on the northbound I-505, just south of Putah Creek Road, near the Winters and Yolo County Line.
A 2002 Ford Ranger was traveling northbound on Interstate 505, when it overturned several times and ended up about 30 feet from the road. Emergency personnel arrived to the scene and extricated Laudenback from the truck. He was pronounced dead on the way to a local hospital from injuries sustained.
21-year-old Jade Bowdoin of Aptos was the drive of the car, and sustained major injuries in the collision. He was taken to the Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center, but there is no current update on his medical condition. Authorities arrested Bowdoin on suspicion of felony DUI, and continue to investigate the fatal incident.
