17-Year-Old Male Killed in Motorcycle Collision near Daniel Drive in American Canyon
AMERICAN CANYON, CA (May 4, 2020) – Sunday night, 17-year-old Ivan Ledesma was killed in a motorcycle crash on Flosden Road.
According to Sgt. Chris Pacheco, authorities first received reports of the crash at 9:22 p.m., on Flosden Road.
Reports later revealed that the young motorcyclist from Vallejo was traveling south in a Honda Sport bike. For unknown reasons, he later crashed into an Acura sedan.
When paramedics arrived, they immediately transported Ledesma to the Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa for further treatment. However, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Acura remained uninjured, according to paramedics.
Due to the crash, the police shut down the intersection for multiple hours while crews investigated at the scene. At around 3:30 a.m., the roads reopened.
Moreover, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
The authorities also reiterated that the crash scene, just a mile north of the Six Flags amusement park, is a four-lane road with a speed limit of 45 mph.
