Stanislaus County, CA (August 14, 2020) – A violent DUI suspected crash on South Walnut Road and West Harding Road killed Isaac Aguilera on Wednesday.
The deadly crash took place on August 12 in the area of South Walnut Road and West Harding Road.
Authorities identified the victim as Isaac Aguilera, 20, from Modesto. According to the report, Aguilera was driving a 2002 Ford approaching Harding Road at a high rate of speed. For unknown reasons, he drifted to the east and collided into a concrete barrier wall and rolled over before resting on its roof.
Subsequently, another car, a 2011 Hyundai Genesis heading south on Walnut came speeding. CHP said that the driver identified as Amy Cole, 45, from Hilmar tried to stop to avoid hitting the damaged Ford. However, Cole’s car still hit Aguilera’s wrecked car ripping the Ford in half.
The CHP release says the Hyundai ripped the Ford through the driver seat area up to the driver side trunk area.
Aguilera died as a result.
Police Arrest
Meanwhile, the investigators said Cole was showing signs of impairment and later arrested her. She is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter, DUI causing great bodily injury and driving without a valid license.
