Late Afternoon Collision on 605 Freeway in Irwindale, Major Injuries Sustained
IRWINDALE, CA (December 19, 2018) – At least one person was seriously injured following a three-vehicle crash late Wednesday afternoon in Irwindale.
The crash happened around 5:31 p.m. on northbound 605 Freeway, just South of Live Oak Avenue.
According to the CHP, a silver Honda Accord, a gray Toyota Tundra and a white construction truck were involved for unknown reasons. The impact caused major front-end damage on the Toyota. Bystanders stopped and tried to get the passengers out of the pickup truck.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived and found at least one patient with major injuries. The patient was then transported to a hospital in an unknown condition.
The third and fourth lanes of the freeway were blocked by fire crews for the on-scene investigation.
