1 Person Dead in Richardson Grove Auto Accident on Highway 101 near Richardson Grove State Park

RICHARDSON GROVE, CA (November 3, 2023) – On Tuesday, Irving Alvarez died in a tragic single-vehicle crash on Highway 101.

The incident happened on Highway 101, just south of the entrance to Richardson’s Grove State Park.

According to reports, a southbound 2002 Chevrolet Silverado traveled off the east road edge for still unknown reasons and collided with a tree. Then, the force of the crash pushed the vehicle to roll over onto its roof.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the Chevrolet, 29-year-old Alvarez, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the passenger of the vehicle, Ariella Gaughan, to Providence St. Joseph Hospital with major injuries. Also, officers confirmed that a dog inside the vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
