Irma Neris Medrano Injured in Three-Vehicle Fatal Crash on Carmel Valley Road [Carmel Valley, CA]

Carmel Valley, CA (October 09, 2021) – On Friday, 44-year-old Irma Neris Medrano of Salinas, and 29-year-old Catherine Poma, also of Salinas, both suffered injuries in a fatal crash on Carmel Valley Road.

The fatal crash took place at about 12:45 p.m.  wherein three vehicles were involved.

Investigating officers said a Jeep was driven by Poma on Carmel Valley Road when it swerved into oncoming traffic.

Then, the Jeep clipped a pickup truck that went off an embankment.

Unfortunately, the truck driver died in the crash.

Emergency rescuers took Poma to the hospital with moderate injuries.

While Medrano, the 2021 Toyota Highlander driver, incurred minor injuries.

Moreover, the authorities said that the identity of the 1973 Ford F250 driver who died in the crash is not yet available.
