Martin Bedolla-Mendoza and Irma Acevado-Mendoza Injured in Two-Car Collision on Sunset Highway and Highway 2
EAST WENATCHEE, WA (February 27, 2018) – Two people were injured in an accident involving a pickup truck on Sunset Highway and Highway 2 on Tuesday morning.
Around 4:45 AM, 22-year-old Martin Bedolla-Mendoza was driving in a Toyota pickup truck, when he rear-ended a small passenger vehicle driven by 54-year-old Irma Acevado-Mendoza. Both drivers were from East Wenatchee.
The impact of the accident caused the pickup to roll and both cars to come to a rest in the intersection. Acevado-Mendoza sustained injuries and was taken to the Central Washington Hospital by ambulance. Bedolla-Mendoza suffered minor injuries and was not medically treated.
Traffic was blocked while cars were removed from the road, which caused early morning traffic in East Wenatchee. Bedolla-Mendoza was charged with negligent driving. No other information has been released at this time.
