Fremont, CA (August 12, 2022) On Thursday morning, a hit-and-run collision on the northbound Interstate Highway 880 killed a female pedestrian.

CHP says that the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 1:47 a.m. on the off-ramp to Fremont Boulevard.

Reports say that officials found a woman on the right shoulder of the off-ramp.

Officials say that the Alameda County coroner’s bureau has not released the victim’s identity.

Moreover, officials say that a big rig or car hauler may have struck the pedestrian. Additionally, officers say that the driver may not be aware of the collision.
