Interstate 5 Overturn Crash Kills David Hamilton [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (July26, 2021) – On June 16, 51-year-old David Hamilton of Modesto, and 44-year-old Billy Traves of Stockton, both died in a vehicle crash on Interstate 5.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene at about 11 a.m. south of Highway 43.https://www.chp.ca.gov/home

When they arrived, they discovered Hamilton and Traves thrown from the vehicle. Officers pronounced them dead at the scene.

Responding officers also found a severely injured person in another vehicle.

Apparently, a southbound car on the freeway blew their tire and the vehicle overturned.

Consequently, the vehicle collided into the center divider wherein Hamilton and Traves were ejected. One of them struck an oncoming vehicle in the northbound lanes.
