Interstate 5 Multi-Vehicle Crash Kills 45-Year-Old Motorcyclist [Bellingham, WA]

Bellingham, WA (October 7, 2022) On Thursday evening, a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 killed a 45-year-old motorcycle rider from Ferndale.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) says that fatal hit-and-run crash happened at around 9 p.m. at he northbound lanes of I-5 at the Lakeway Drive interchange.

Reports say that an undentified vehicle struck a 2021 Honda FXBBS motorcycle. Consequently, the impact of the of the collision ejected the motorcycle rider towards the right lane.

Afterward, a semi-truck struck the motorcyclist and hit a vehicle who pulled over to check on the rider. Officials pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
