Williams, AZ (July 27, 2022) On Tuesday afternoon, 3 people died and a 4th person suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 40.

The AZDPS says that the fatal accident along I-40 involved a passenger car and 2 big rigs.

Authorities say that rescuers had to extricate the occupants of the car.

Officials pronounced 3 people dead at the scene, while paramedics transported the 4th person to the hospital.

The collision at milepost 153 near Williams caused severe traffic delays along the eastbound lanes of the interstate.
