Phoenix, AZ (February 16, 2024) On Thursday morning, 2 people were injured and taken to the hospital after the Interstate 10 fiery accident.

According to Phoenix police, the 2-vehicle collision happened at about 2 a.m. near the 51st Avenue exit.

Reports say that a sedan failed to stop at a red light and collided with a fuel tanker truck near Interstate 10.

Officials say that the sedan burst into flames immediately after the collision. Authorities say that the car had 2 occupants, who managed to escape the sedan before it caught flame.

Medics say that both occupants suffered serious injuries and both were transported to the hospital and were expected to survive.

Meanwhile, officials confirmed that the truck driver escaped injuries and the tanker was empty before the wreck.
