Injury Reported in US 97 Rollover Crash [Orondo, WA]

Orondo, WA (February 28, 2022) – On Sunday, a 2015 Honda Civic collided with a phone box in the US 97 Rollover Crash.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says that just before 7 a.m. a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Mario Velazquez-Vazquez crossed the roadway, struck an embankment and it rolled over onto its top.

Velazquez-Vazquez was not impaired during the incident. They are investigating why was driving too fast on the snow-covered highway.

Moreover, when the vehicle was sliding on the road, he overcorrected to the left and started the crash.

Fortunately, Velazquez-Vazquez and 2 other occupants of the vehicle safely got out of the wreck.

Another motorist stopped by and gave aid to them until the first responders arrived on the scene.

Reports say that one occupant sustained minor injuries. Rescuers treated the injured at the scene. 

Meanwhile, a rooster was trapped inside the wreck and firemen extricated the rooster safely.
