1 Injured in Fallbrook Car Collision
FALLBROOK, CA (July 26, 2019) – A person sustained injuries in a collision involving a semi-truck on 15 Freeway on July 25
A van collided into the back of a slow-moving semi-truck on northbound 15 Freeway north of Mission Road in Rainbow at around 5:10 a.m.
NCFPD Battalion Chief Greg Wilson revealed that the van’s front crushed and the engine fired. As a result, the 31-year-old driver from Oceanside got stuck about a half-hour until rescue crews freed him.
The man suffered moderate injuries and an air ambulance took him to Palomar Medical Center. The incident stalled traffic on 15 Freeway as the helicopter landed on the freeway at around 6:00 a.m.
According to the driver, he fell asleep moments before the crash.

The delays also affected both northbound and southbound lanes. Authorities also issued a SigAlert until around 6:40 a.m.
