Multiple Vehicles Involved in Two Collisions near Beach Boulevard
BUENA PARK, CA (January 1, 2019) – Injuries were sustained in two separate accidents on eastbound 91 Freeway, early Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 3:43 AM, just west of Beach Boulevard. Based on their report, three vehicles were involved the first incident, while three others were part of the second one. One of the cars reportedly caught fire during the crash.
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They confirmed that major injuries were sustained in the first incident, while they recorded minor injuries sustained by the motorists involved in the second crash.
The eastbound lanes and the on-ramp were closed while cleaning and clearing operations were conducted in the area. The cause of the both crashes is not yet known and additional information will be released once it becomes available. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
