Solo-Vehicle Collision Reported near the Cedar Pass Ski Area
CEDARVILLE, CA (April 3, 2019) – Multiple injuries were sustained in a truck crash on Highway 299, Wednesday evening.
According to the CHP, the collision happened around 9:10 PM, near the Cedar Pass Ski Area on Highway 195. Based on an initial report, a U-Haul truck was involved.
The truck was found facing east in the westbound lanes upon officers arrival. The U-Haul was also seen with a blown out left front tire as a result of the impact.
Paramedics were subsequently requested for needed medical attention. Reports indicated that three occupants inside the truck consequently suffered injuries as a result of the impact. However, all injuries were eventually said to be minor.
Authorities are currently investigating the extent of the damage sustained. In addition, a clearing and cleaning operation took place in the area. Moreover, surrounding roadways were temporarily closed, but have since reopened.
An investigation is still ongoing to determine the cause, and to identify possible contributing factors. Furthermore, additional information has yet to be released.
