At Least One Hurt after San Diego Collision on 15 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 13, 2018) – Possible injuries were sustained in a collision on northbound 15 Freeway near Bernardo Drive on Monday, December 10.
California Highway Patrol received a call around 7:23 p.m. about a crash involving at least three vehicles on 15 Freeway. When officers arrived at the scene, they found multiple vehicles in the center divider and on the right shoulder of the roadway including a white Volkswagen Passat, a white Toyota Yarris, and a silver Kia.
According to the CHP, the driver of the Passat crashed into the debris and asked CHP if it is safe to get out of the vehicle or drive away.
Witnesses told CHP that the accident was possibly caused by a red Honda Civic driver road raging over a gray Honda Civic prior to the collision.
All lanes of the freeway were blocked and tow services responded to assist in clearing the scene.
Paramedics arrived and reported that there were minor injuries sustained as a result of the crash.
Authorities are still conducting an investigation. No additional information was released.
