Injuries Sustained in Three-Vehicle Car Crash on Ramona Expressway and San Jacinto Street [San Jacinto, CA]

Injuries Reported in San Jacinto Multi-Vehicle Accident

SAN JACINTO, CA (February 15, 2019) – Injuries were reported following a three-vehicle car crash on Ramona Expressway and San Jacinto Street on February 13.

According to reports, the incident led to minor delays for the morning commuters and other motorists.

It was around 7:45 a.m. when the San Jacinto PD and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire responded to the area after receiving reports of a multiple-vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Due to the multiple numbers of vehicles involved in the incident, a second AMR ambulance crew was called to the scene.

The authorities located three vehicles stopped in the crash scene, with vehicle parts and debris scattered all over the lanes of traffic.

A light-colored sedan and white commercial pickup truck, are believed to have crashed, and both sustained minor to moderate damage. Meanwhile, a black Toyota Tundra was also stopped in the intersection, but was not believed to be involved in the crash.

However, there was another vehicle involved. A grey sedan with massive front-end damage was stopped nearby in the lanes of traffic. The heavily damaged car was facing the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of the expressway.

The deputies conducted an investigation to identify the crash and the medical responders evaluated and treated the vehicles’ occupants. According to some witness, there were no severe injuries in the collision.

The extensive blockage led deputies to issue a temporary closure of the intersection and all traffic was rerouted from the area. After the clearing operation, officials reopened the intersection.

San Jacinto PD is still investigating the collision.
