Major Damage Recorded as Three Vehicles Collide near 163rd Avenue

SAN LEANDRO, CA (November 9, 2018) – Injuries were sustained in a three-car crash on 580 Freeway in the eastbound lanes of the road, early Friday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 1:31 PM, just east of the 163rd Avenue on-ramp. As per reports, there were three vehicles that were involved in the incident. The parties were identified as a Chevrolet Volta, a white Toyota Prius, and a gray Toyota sedan.

Officers and medics arrived at the scene after receiving multiple calls regarding a three-vehicle accident in the area. The involved motorists suffered minor injuries. There is no updated on either person’scurrent medical condition.

The sedan acquired major rear-end damage and other moderate damage were under assessment. A clearing operation was performed to clean and clear the area. An investigation is ongoing to determine contributing factors.
