Injuries Sustained in Stolen Vehicle Accident on Orange Grove Boulevard [Pasadena, CA]

Pursuit Driver Arrested after Accident near Holly Street

 
PASADENA, CA (April 4, 2019) – Injuries were sustained in a stolen vehicle accident on Orange Grove Boulevard, Thursday afternoon.
 
According to reports, the collision took place at approximately 5:18 PM. Dispatchers arrived near the intersection of Holly Street soon after.
 
Based on an initial report, the involved vehicle was identified as a utility pickup stolen out of Bell Gardens. The truck traveled around Highland Park, South Pasadena and Alhambra before the collision.
 
Law enforcement vehicles were keeping an eye on the suspicious activity, when the driver eventually slammed into a nearby Toyota SUV. Paramedics were immediately called for medical assistance.
 
The unidentified suspect was quickly treated for minor injuries due to the impact of the collision. Authorities also took him into custody for further investigation.
 
Furthermore, the driver of the SUV was extricated from her badly damaged vehicle. She was later identified as a 53-year-old female. She was allegedly taken to a nearby trauma center in serious condition following the crash.
 
No further information has been disclosed to the public, as an investigation is still currently ongoing. More details will eventually be released once available.
