Two Separate Collisions Reported near Highway 198
VISALIA, CA (January 26, 2019) – Injuries were sustained in separate accidents on northbound Highway 99, Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collisions took place at approximately 7:21 PM, near westbound Highway 198. Based on their report, one vehicle was involved in the incident, while two cars were part of the second collision. It was not yet known if both crashes were connected.
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They confirmed that there were injured motorists in both cases. The injuries were not specified, but all conditions were said to be minor.
The ramp was temporarily closed while a clearing operation was conducted by the authorities. The cause of the pile-up is not yet known and additional information will be released once it becomes available. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
