Two-Vehicle Collision near Lakeland Road
WHITTIER, CA (June 3, 2019) – Early Monday morning, injuries were sustained in a rollover crash on Carmenita Road, just south of Lakeland Road.
The collision took place around 3:00 AM, just south of Lakeland Road. Dispatchers arrived on the northbound lanes of Carmenita Road shortly after.
Based on an initial report, two vehicles were involved in the accident. A silver Hyundai had allegedly overturned as result of the impact. However, the events leading up are currently unclear.
The paramedics later recorded multiple non-life-threatening injuries due to the crash. However, there has been no update on their current medical condition.
According to reports, a telephone pole was also damaged amidst the collision. The first two lanes of the road were closed while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened.
Furthermore, the involved vehicles also required towing services due to the extent of damage.
Police have not yet determined the cause of the accident at this time. However, the investigation remains ongoing by the Santa Barbara Police Department.
