Five Vehicles Involved in Collision near Highway 101
SAN JOSE, CA (April 18, 2019) – Injuries were sustained in a multi-car crash on southbound 880 Freeway, Thursday morning.
According to reports, the collision took place around 7:25 AM. Dispatchers arrived just north of Highway 101 soon after.
Five vehicles were reportedly involved in the incident. The vehicles were identified as a bus, a Toyota Prius, a silver Honda, a white Honda Civic and one other unidentified car.
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. Occupants of the bus reported multiple injuries. Fortunately, the victims’ conditions were said to be minor.
A SigAlert was issued, eventually closing the No. 1 lane while rescue, clearing, and cleaning operations took place in the area. The cause of the pile-up is currently under investigation, and additional information will be disclosed to the public once it becomes available.
