Injuries Sustained in Multi-Car Crash on 8 Freeway [San Diego, CA]

Three Vehicles Involved in Collision near Waring Road

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 17, 2018) – Multiple injuries were sustained Monday evening, after a multi-car crash on 8 Freeway, in the eastbound lanes.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 6:35 PM, just west of Waring Road. The authorities recovered at least three vehicles in the slow lane, including a Chevrolet Cruze and two other white vehicles. Events leading up to the incident are still not known at this time.

Emergency paramedics immediately responded to the scene for rescue operations. They recorded minor injuries in the collision, although it is unclear how man people were injured and if they needed hospitalization. The No. 5 and 6 lanes of the freeway were closed off as clearing operations and a preliminary investigation were performed in the area.

Other details related to the incident have not yet been released to the public, as the investigation continues.
