Five Vehicles Involved in Collision on Johnson Avenue

 
EL CAJON, CA (February 9, 2019) – Injuries were sustained in a multi-car crash on westbound 8 Freeway, Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 11:04 AM, near the intersection of Johnson Avenue. Based on their report, there were five vehicles involved in the incident. It started when a white Ford Mustang hit the side rail, bounced off and hit a white Toyota SUV. Three other cars were hit in the incident.
 
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They confirmed that there were motorists who suffered injuries due to collision impact. Fortunately, the victims’ conditions were not life-threatening.
 
One car was left with major front-end damage. A clearing operation was conducted in the area.
 
An investigation is ongoing to verify all initial information and determine liabilities. The cause of the collision is currently under investigation, and additional information will be disclosed to the public, once it becomes available.
