Three Vehicles Involved in Collision near Highway 41

 
KETTLEMAN CITY, CA (March 25, 2019) – Injuries were sustained in a multi-car crash on northbound 5 Freeway, Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:35 AM. Dispatchers arrived just south of Highway 41 shortly after. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
 
Based on an initial report, there were three vehicles involved in the accident. A box truck containing less than 30,000 lbs. of materials was found 40 feet above the embankment, while a Cadillac SUV was recovered with major front-end damage.
 
The paramedics were also requested for needed medical attention. They confirmed that there were victims who suffered minor injuries as a result of the impact.
 
Clearing and cleaning operations eventually took place in the area. Additional information will be released once available. The cause of the accident still currently remains under investigation.
