Santa Barbara Car Crash on Highway 166
SANTA BARBARA, CA (October 9, 2019) – An unknown number of people sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 166 on October 7.
The incident shut down Highway 166 in both directions near New Cuyama. The CHP revealed that the incident involving a Honda Civic and a Chevy Malibu happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Highway 166 near Wasioja Road.
Details regarding the injuries remain unavailable as of this time. The crash on Highway 166 caused both vehicles off the road.
The Santa Barbara County firefighters came to the scene, around 6 miles west of New Cuyama, together with sheriff’s deputies and an AMR ambulance.
By 6:40 a.m., the highway reopened.
