Two Semi-Trucks Involved in Collision near Evan Hewes Highway
EL CENTRO, CA (March 26, 2019) – Injuries were sustained in a big rig crash on Highway 111, Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say the collision took place in the northbound lanes of Highway 111 at approximately 2:55 PM. Dispatchers then arrived just south of Evan Hewes Highway shortly after.
According to an initial report, two big rigs were involved in the accident. However, the cause of the incident is currently unknown.
The paramedics were also eventually requested for needed medical attention. Soon after, they reported that multiple injuries were consequently sustained by the involved motorists. All conditions were said to be minor.
Furthermore, all lanes were temporarily closed while rescue, clearing, and cleaning operations were conducted. The cause of the collision was not yet known. An investigation is currently ongoing to eventually determine liabilities.
