MARTIN COUNTY, TX (July 9, 2023) – Friday, a semi-truck crash in Martin County led to minor injuries.

According to DPS, a southbound semi-truck was struck from behind by another southbound semi hauling diesel fuel.

Then, the semi hauling diesel fuel caught fire, leading to an extended roadway closure.

Moreover, the authorities confirmed that both drivers of the trucks managed to exit their vehicles. Then, the driver of the truck hauling fuel was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Then, the authorities reopened the roadway at 2:15 PM.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
