Injuries Sustained in Merced Auto Accident
MERCED, CA (November 25, 2024) – Saturday night, a startling police chase crash in North Merced led to minor injuries.
The incident happened when an officer attempted to stop a GMC envoy.
The driver refused to pull over, leading to a pursuit that ended when the vehicle hit a power pole in North Merced.
After the crash, the driver fled on foot but was eventually apprehended by police. Authorities confirmed the passengers sustained only minor injuries and were trapped until PG&E disabled the live wires.
The vehicle was confirmed stolen, and the driver was taken into custody on several charges, including two felony warrants. No additional injuries were reported.
