SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (December 16, 2023) – Friday night, a startling multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 at Bayside led to injuries.

The incident involving multiple vehicles happened at around 6:26 p.m. on northbound 101 at Bayside. Officers confirmed that the crash left two people needing extrication from their vehicles.

Officers said that the crash left five patients and an additional ambulance was called to the scene.

Also, northbound 101 traffic was diverted onto Bayside by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department. Also, the incident caused a traffic backup on Bayside and 101.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
