Santa Barbara Motorcycle Accident on Chapala Street and W Los Olivos Street
SANTA BARBARA, CA (July 6, 2023) – Tuesday night, a startling motorcycle crash on Chapala Street and W Los Olivos Street led to injuries.
The crash happened at 5 PM at the intersection of Chapala St and W. Los Olivos Street. According to reports, a small Grey Chevy hit a green motorcycle.
As the motorcycle traveled north on Chapala, it was “barely” side swiped by a smaller profile vehicle.
After the crash, the driver stayed on the scene. Also, the driver of the vehicle noted that the motorcyclist was traveling too fast and ripped off his front license plate.
Officers noted that the driver of the grey car remained calm and appeared to be processing what had just occurred.
Reports confirmed that the left pedal of the motorcycle was completely broken off and the rider sustained severe injuries to his left foot.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
