FALL RIVER, CA (October 20, 2022) – On Tuesday, authorities reported injuries following a school bus crash on Highway 299.

According to Fall River Joint School District Superintendent Dr. Merrill Grant, a semi-truck rear-ended a Fall River Elementary School bus. The crash happened as the bus made a left-hand turn off Highway 299. Also, the bus was transporting kindergarten and transitional kindergarten students to its annual pumpkin patch field trip when the incident occurred.
Moreover, officers confirmed that responders took seven students to Mayers Memorial Hospital. They transported the patients for cautionary observation but there were no serious injuries sustained in the incident.
