San Jose Injury Crash on 880 Freeway
SAN JOSE, CA (July 3, 2020) – Thursday afternoon, a truck accident on 880 Freeway caused injuries to an unknown number of parties.
The rollover truck and trailer crash occurred at about 3:00 p.m. on southbound 880 Freeway connector to southbound U.S. Highway 101.
According to reports, the incident initially closed the southbound 880 Freeway connector to southbound Highway 101. Furthermore, the crash also shut down the right and center lanes of southbound Highway 101.
However, by 5:49 p.m., the CHP revealed that southbound 880 Freeway to southbound Highway 101 remained unavailable. The lanes of southbound Highway 101 at 880 Freeway reopened after long hours of delay.
Meanwhile, the authorities advised motorists to expect delays and use alternate routes.
What’s Next after the Truck Accident on 880 Freeway
Due to a truck’s significant size and power, drivers cannot stop quickly or maneuver easily like other vehicles, and thus they need additional time to react and adjust their speed.
As a truck driver, be mindful of your size and weight when gaining speed or making turns. By doing so, you can help to ensure the safety of yourself and others around you.
Serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation.
