Rancho Cordova Auto Accident near Zinfandel Drive and International Drive
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (February 17, 2021) – Tuesday night, a police chase ended with a crash near Zinfandel Drive and International Drive.
The pursuit began on Highway 50 near Highway 99, said the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Then, it ended near Zinfandel Drive and International Drive. The driver sideswiped a vehicle, rammed into a fire hydrant and three trees.
The impact of the crash threw the fire hydrant for nearly 150 feet.
Meanwhile, the suspect’s car sustained heavy damages and had caught fire. Also, responders took the suspect to an area hospital, and are expected to survive.
On the other hand, four occupants in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
At this time, the authorities haven’t released what cause the pursuit. However, the unidentified driver will most probably face weapon charges.
During the investigation, the authorities temporarily closed Zinfandel Drive.
