Injuries Sustained in San Diego Auto Accident on 2400 J Street near 24th Street

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 1, 2024) – Sunday morning, a vehicle crash on 2400 J Street near 24th Street led to injuries.

The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. at the 2400 J Street near the intersection of 24th Street in the neighborhood of Sherman Heights.

“A 1998 Honda was stopped facing eastbound mid-block, (and) a 2015 BMW driven by an 18-year-old man, traveling eastbound rear-ended the stopped vehicle,” the department revealed.

The stopped vehicle then collided with two parked cars. Five passengers in the BMW were transported to a hospital, with the driver suffering an open fracture to his lower left leg, according to police.

Meanwhile, the reason for the BMW being stopped in the roadway remains unknown, and the extent of damage to the parked vehicles has not been clarified. Additionally, it is unclear if there were any occupants in the parked Honda at the time of the incident.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
