SUV and Sedan Collide on County Road 89 in Winters
WINTERS, CA (July 30, 2019) – Injuries were reported following a two-car crash Tuesday night in Winters, CHP officials said.
The crash happened just before 7:00 p.m., at the intersection of County Road 89 and County Road 26. First responders arrived to the area shortly after.
According to an initial report, a dark gray Ford SUV and a white sedan collided for unknown reasons. Officers located both vehicles on the right shoulder of the highway once they arrived.
The paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene to render aid to the injured parties. Medics later reported complaints of pain. However, the exact number of injured patients was not immediately known.
Both cars were towed away from the scene due to the extent of damage sustained. The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened.
Furthermore, an ongoing investigation continues to determine the ultimate cause of the accident and liability.
