Laguna Beach Motorcycle Accident near South Coast Highway
LAGUNA BEACH, CA (August 26, 2020) – Sunday afternoon, injuries were reported in a motorcycle crash near South Coast Highway.
At 4:58 p.m., the Laguna Beach Fire and Police departments responded to South Coast Highway and Solana Way. Upon their arrival, they located the motorcyclist down in the road. Moreover, two paramedic engines also came to the scene, said Laguna Beach Engineer Paramedic Pat Cary.
By 5:30 p.m., the Laguna Beach administered a Nixle alert for a helicopter responding to the scene.
Medical responders treated two patients, including the critically injured motorcycle rider. Also, according to reports, the motorcyclist was a 40-year-old Orange resident. Meanwhile, the vehicle driver and passenger were uninjured, Laguna Beach Police Sgt. Jim Cota revealed.
“We were dispatched to a rescue or a lift about a person who needed to be transported and due to traffic they requested air support,” revealed Sgt. Dennis Breckner, a spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Cota added that the helicopter crew members took the patient to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo.
Meanwhile, after colliding with the motorcycle, the vehicle crashed into the Casa Laguna Hotel. As a result, a pillar in a breezeway next to the main building was damaged, Cota revealed. Thus, a city building inspector came to the scene to evaluate the structure’s integrity.
Weaving in and out of lanes is dangerous. Always stay at your lane and be aware of the presence of other motorists around you. Pay attention and consider small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles because these are more prone to road accidents than bigger vehicles.
The Rising Numbers of Accident in the US
According to the United States Department of Transportation, there are approximately 300,000 merging accidents every year.
Roadways, while scrupulously created and mapped for efficient travel, are one of the most dangerous settings.
As common of an occurrence as they are, many people do not suspect what follows in the event of a car crash.
The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney.
“Personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery while securing your future from further losses a severe accident can bring. A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers, an attorney practicing for over 40 years.
