Injuries Sustained in Copperopolis Auto Accident on SR4 near Horseshoe Lane
COPPEROPOLIS, CA {July 10, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a crippling traffic crash on SR4 near Horseshoe Lane led to minor injuries.
The crash happened around 7:32 a.m. at the intersection of SR4 and Horseshoe Lane, involving a white Cadillac sedan, a white Kia sedan, and a white pickup truck.
Meanwhile, the pickup truck overturned multiple times and landed in a field about 100 yards east of the intersection.
Initial reports suggested that one person might be trapped in a vehicle, and both eastbound lanes of SR4 were blocked. Emergency responders from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and local towing services were promptly notified. Sam Berri Tow was contacted for vehicle removal, with two tow trucks requested.
By 7:45 AM, the CHP reclassified the incident from a major injury collision to a minor injury collision. Emergency units cleared the scene by 7:50 AM. Minor injuries were reported, and all involved parties received necessary medical attention.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
