PINE, AZ (August 22, 2021) – Saturday night, a head-on crash on State Route 87 at Milepost 265 led to injuries.
The Department of Public Safety said that two vehicles crashed head-on.
The investigating troopers suspect that one of the vehicles drove across oncoming traffic. Then, it struck the other car.
Due to the crash, both vehicles went down into a nearby ravine.
One vehicle fell around 15 feet and the other fell 150 to 160 deep down. Also, the authorities confirmed that the crash led to injuries. However, they haven’t confirmed the number of parties injured.
The incident led to the closure of north and southbound lanes for multiple hours. Just before 10:00 p.m., the road fully reopened.
