CLEAR LAKE, CA (October 6, 2020) – Yesterday, a head-on crash on Highway 20 at mile marker 11.6 resulted in injuries.
Reports revealed that a head-on crash between a pickup and a tanker truck occurred just after 5:00 p.m. As a result of the crash, the tanker truck caught fire.
The CHP Traffic Incident Information Page revealed that a person reported about the explosion. According to reports, the fire started to spread to vegetation. Thus, a full wildland fire response came. At this time, the blaze has been extinguished.

Moreover, the authorities rerouted the traffic from Highway 20 around the south side on Highway 29.
May this incident be a reminder for all motorists to drive responsibly. Drivers should also keep in mind that distracted driving, speeding, and failing to yield will lead to dangerous road accidents.
