DUI Driver Arrested after Chula Vista Accident on Broadway and H Street

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (June 14, 2021) – Sunday night, a DUI hit-and-run crash on Broadway and H Street led to injuries.
 
The Chula Vista Police Department said that the woman backed out of Roberto’s Taco Shop’s parking lot on 444 Broadway. Then, she struck another vehicle.
 
As a result, the vehicle driver went out and asked for an exchange of information. Then, the woman responded by being argumentative.
 
Afterward, two men attacked the driver of the other vehicle and hit him in the head with a bottle as the woman took off. The female driver then hit a second car with an occupant inside. Eventually, the woman again fled from the scene.
 
She headed south on Broadway at speeds of up to 80 mph. Then, she made a U-turn at H-street and drove north on Broadway at speeds of 100 mph.
 
Eventually, the woman crashed into an abandoned building at 186 Broadway then attempted to escape from her car. However, responding officers located and arrested her.
 
CVPD confirmed that she’s facing a DUI, hit-and-run, and other charges. However, her identity remains undisclosed at this time.
 
Moreover, the police haven’t clarified whether the two male attackers are friends of the suspect or they were just bystanders. At this time, they remain at large.
 
The police confirmed that the woman in the second car hit by the suspect sustained injuries.
